Attention Medicaid Patients

Sunshine Medicaid recently informed our practice that our services will no longer be needed after September 30, 2026. They did not provide a reason for this change in contract. Our practice has faithfully served Sunshine and Medicaid for many years without a single patient complaint or concern.

Unfortunately, because Sunshine has terminated our contract, we are unable to schedule additional appointments. As we are disappointed with the outcome of their decision, we would be happy to discuss other options, including alternate insurance coverage or self-pay, to maintain our relationship and care for our patients.

We are also not contracted with Ambetter, Molina, or Oscar. UnitedHealthcare Medicaid has recently dropped our Optometry provider as well. Currently, our future contracts with other Medicaid plans remains unknown.

We recommend that all patients contact Sunshine Health directly at 866-796-0530, or contact their current insurance plan, for more information. They can also provide a list of contracted providers to help you transition your child’s follow-up care appropriately.
