Dear Patient or Parent/Guardian of Pediatric Eye Consultants of North Florida:

As we navigate this difficult time, We assure you that strict protocols are in place to keep Pediatric Eye Consultants a completely sanitary, clean, and a safe environment for you and your children. We continue to obtain temperatures from all patients and family members before they enter our office and will be screening for recent symptoms of fever, cough, travel or exposure to known COVID-19 infected individuals.

We are rooming patients immediately upon check in and we will give each patient/family their own dedicated exam room for the duration of their appointment. All rooms are disinfected between patients and sterile surfaces are being maintained. For the continued safety of our patients and staff we ask that only one parent/guardian/spouse accompany the patient and that you contact us prior to your appointment if you feel that you are ill or have been exposed to COVID-19.

While dedicated to both safety and prudence, we are also determined to care for our patients with the same passion as always. We thank you for your understanding during this trying time. Please stay safe and healthy.

Dear Patient or Parent/Guardian of Pediatric Eye Consultants of North Florida:

We want to express our most heartfelt desire to communicate how seriously we are taking the very recent developments of COVID-19. We are here to reassure you that our internal systems of protocol to keep Pediatric Eye Consultants a completely sanitary, clean, and safe environment for you and your children is occurring around the clock. From top to bottom and everywhere in between, we are disinfecting after each patient as well as maintaining sterile surfaces.

We have removed our toys and books from the reception room for safety measures. We will eliminate use of our mounted iPads/ xbox games due to risk for viral spread on such surfaces. We will be obtaining temperatures from all patients and family members as they enter our office and will be screening for recent symptoms of fever, cough, travel or exposure to known COVID-19 infected individuals. All attempts will be made to room patients immediately upon check in and we will give each patient/ family their own dedicated exam room for the duration of their appointment whenever possible. All rooms will be disinfected between patients. In addition, staff and providers have been instructed to wear masks and gloves at all times.

Please do not keep appointments if you or any of your family have symptoms of infection or exposure to COVID-19. If you are unable to come to our office due to any of the above risk factors, we will be happy to accommodate a “telemedicine” consultation and will address your concerns via phone or email. We are dedicated to protecting our patients and their families and believe in a proactive stance. We thank you for your understanding during this trying time.
